Five useful tips!
Do you notice that the clock is slowly ticking by and your to-do list is getting longer? If you want to increase your productivity, that doesn’t mean you necessarily have to work harder. The trick is that you work smarter. Thanks to these five tips, your productivity will increase and the day will also feel a little shorter.
1. Limit your email use
Every email you receive is a distraction from what you are actually doing. In case you haven’t noticed yet: emails never arrive when you have ‘time’ for them. Therefore, try to schedule a fixed time when you update your mailbox.
2. Start an hour earlier
Starting an hour earlier every day is not necessary, but it is a good goal to do this once in a while. If you start earlier, it can really give you a head start. Not only is working in an empty office (without distractions) a relief, you also have less stress for the rest of the day. And how nice is it to be able to leave an hour earlier?
3. Set priorities
Setting priorities can help you work more efficiently and faster. By keeping a list of the things you need to finish first, you will have more overview, which will ensure that you finish everything on time.
4. Less multitasking
Multitasking will only make you less productive. Even though you feel like you’ve done more, your work isn’t getting any better. Try to focus on one task and complete it carefully. This also gives you a more satisfied feeling at the end of the day.
5. Keep your workplace clean
This doesn’t mean you have to spend all your time cleaning your desk. No, make sure you keep your workplace tidy. Remove all the stuff you don’t need, but don’t overdo it. An empty desk is not inspiring either…
