Struggles with work-life balance
S10 shares in the interview that she finds it ‘really very difficult’ to combine her work and relationship. She says: “I have discovered that again. It is not the other person’s fault, but it is me and the focus I need to be able to fix everything properly.” If S10 is in love, then she is immediately completely in love. “When I’m in love, every hole in my week goes to that person,” she says candidly. But as a result, she noticed that she had “lost a bit of focus” on her work. Oh, that’s difficult!
S10 are in first place
The singer has often experienced a point in a relationship where she thinks: “I can’t do it anymore, I have to go back to work.” She explains: “My life right now is just very much about my career.” Having a relationship in addition to a successful singing career is something she finds difficult. “I’m just not good enough at that yet. S10 and Achraf shared photos of each other via Instagram Stories in January last year, but otherwise they kept their relationship private. The two did not do any interviews together and hardly post any snapshots of each other on Instagram. S10 says: “We thought that was stupid. We wanted to keep our love a bit private and I think that worked out quite well.”
S10 speaks out about the Eurovision Song Contest
S10 recently spoke to Sophie & Jeroen on NPO 1 about her experience during the Eurovision Song Contest. The singer, who participated in 2022 with the song De Diepte, experienced the song festival as ‘intense’. According to Stien, the atmosphere behind the scenes was so unsafe that she filed an official complaint at the time. According to the singer, it was about the lack of respect for personal boundaries by some backstage employees at the Eurovision Song Contest. AVROTROS, the organization behind the Dutch entries, later confirmed that a report had indeed been made.
