First state visit for Frederik and Mary has started!

Finally the time has come. Today marks the start of the very first state visit of King Frederik and Queen Mary. The honor goes to Sweden.

There was of course a lot of preparation in advance for this state visit. Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar are also preparing because their godparents are coming on a state visit. Queen Mary is godparent to Princess Estelle (Estelle is even named after her) and King Frederik is godparent to Prince Oscar. That is why they made their own Danish flags, which they used to stand on the balcony this morning to welcome the new Danish royal couple.

Fashion Mary

Queen Mary wore a (previously worn) boucle A-line gown with a woven diamond pattern, designed by Mark Kencly. Her dark blue hat, with a huge bow at the back, is a design by Jane Taylor.

Fashion Silvia

Queen Silvia wears a previously worn pink and yellow checked dress with a matching bright pink coat, which is finished with the same check.

Fashion Victoria

Crown Princess Victoria wears an old pink midi dress with an oversized coat in the same color. Both designed by Christer Lindarw. The coat makes the dress fall away a bit and it is difficult to see what it looks like. Victoria wears a flower in her hairstyle, which was also designed by Christer Lindarw.
