‘No one will take this away from me!’
Susanna Klibansky (39) made her breakthrough in 2022 as one of The Real Housewives of Amsterdam. After two seasons she said goodbye and now a new challenge awaits: singing in Ziggo Dome. “I realize that things have gone a bit faster for me thanks to the series.”
Reality series
In the first season of The Real Housewives of Amsterdam we see Susanna appear. When we ask her how she looks back on that period, she says: “Because I had not done anything on television yet, I thought this would be a nice challenge. And it was. I really look back on it with a smile, but I must admit that all that glamor takes a lot of time.”
Susanna looks back on the second season. She says that they spent almost six months creating the season. Not only filming the episodes, but also everything surrounding it. “How do I do my hair, and what kind of makeup and accessories go with this? Fashion is a creative outlet for me and in the program I had a stage to show that,” says Susanna. “Wonderful, but I had to deal with all that glamor almost a day job, and that couldn’t be done alongside my work as an art dealer. The passion was a bit gone after two seasons.” Susanna therefore decided to stop after the second season.
Participation Stars on Stage
In the reality series, Susanna mentions her love for singing and we also see that she has had singing lessons. The makers of the Stars on stage program saw this, so Susanna was asked to participate in the program. “I made it to the final and, to be honest, I was amazed. For years I was afraid to sing because I didn’t think I was good enough. As exciting as I found it, I decided to participate in Stars on Stage,” says Susanna.
Ziggo Dome
Because she exceeded her own expectations, those of her singing coach and the audience every week, it gave her a lot of energy. On June 29 we will see Susanna again in The Best of Musicals, Live in The Ziggo Dome where she will sing during a big musical show. She says she is ‘extremely happy and proud’ of her participation.
“It’s almost unreal, something I didn’t dare to dream of. I am well aware that many other artists have to walk a long way before they get that opportunity, and that for me it has gone a little faster thanks to The Real Housewives of Amsterdam and Stars on Stage. No one can take this away from me anymore,” says Susanna.
