From Máxima and Silvia to Leonor and Eloise!
This Easter weekend we obviously have spring on our minds. From flowers on the brunch table to a colorful outfit: we are completely ready for spring. And for the ultimate spring feeling, we list our favorite pastel eminences – from countess to queen and from duchess to princess.
Royal dress
As a royal lady you have quite a few occasions where you have to look your best (Easter). And that means they have an impressive wardrobe at their disposal! Designer pieces, vintage pearls, or high street budget purchases: we like to get a healthy dose of fashion inspiration.

…Pastel is always a stylish choice! In addition, you can go for a tone-on-tone look, à la Princess Catherine and Duchess Sophie last year, with matching accessories – and matching fellow royals. Countess Eloise of Orange gave her fresh green jumpsuit a cool edge by opting for a set of sturdy black heels, and last week Duchess Sophie showed that there is simply no such thing as too colorful with her romantic Suzannah gown. Queen Máxima also showed herself to be a beautiful ice queen with her light blue look from (how could it be otherwise) fashion house Natan. Suitable for winter and spring!
Pretty in pink
We would like to pay particular attention to outfits in our favorite color: pink! Last year, Catherine chose this lovely #Barbiecore outfit with a lovely eye-catching pearl belt.
Princess Leonor also showed up in a stylish pink Simorra dress last year, while Queen Letizia donned a light pink Hugo Boss suit for the presentation of the Premios Princesa de Asturias. Mother and daughter have subtly coordinated their outfits!
Sometimes, however, this coordination is less subtle, such as with the confirmation of Infanta Sofía. Then the young princess simply convinced her entire family to show up in pink. Even King Felipe joined in with a pink tie. Love it!
And hey, even if no one wants to match, you can still pull out a pink statement top from your closet, Leti knows.
Fresh and cheerful
Of course, spring also means that we want to enjoy the early spring sun with our faces. Fortunately, an outing in the sun is also possible in fresh pastel shades. Last year, Swedish Queen Silvia appeared in this cheerful chick-yellow outfit at the anniversary concert for her husband…
And Kate wore this romantic light dress from royal favorite Beulah London to her husband’s polo match.
Stand out
Although we may think of pastel as romantic, soft shades, you can also stand out in mild shades! The Princess of Wales seemed to have gained inspiration on the tennis court, and in this beautiful Self-Portrait dress she looked a bit like a pastel tennis ball.
And as the Orange Queen, you can of course also draw some inspiration from your own surname. We save bright orange for the stands at the World Cup or King’s Day, but a milder orange color can be just as beautiful, Máx proves.
Easter Tel
In short, there are plenty of options to show off in beautiful pastel this Easter Monday. Extra fun: you can complete such a lovely look extra romantic with a soft make-up look, or accentuate it dramatically with a bold lip and a pop of color on your eyelids.
