Amazing dresses passed by.
You can’t show up in your jeans during the most prestigious film event of the year. For the 96th edition of the Oscars, the celebs once again put on a lot of scaffolding. Below we’ve collected our favorite looks from the evening.
From glitter to classic
The Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, California was transformed into a mecca of A-listers who paraded across the red carpet dressed in the most extravagant dresses. Some in classic black, white or a combination, others in a bright color or sparkling sequins.
The Mermaid Core trend was spotted with actresses Carey Mulligan who went for muted colors and Emma Stone who opted for pastel. America Ferrera also went for color: hot pink. Barbie star Margot Robbie did not go for pink for a change, but for all black. Just like many more stars on the red carpet, because classic black dresses were perhaps the biggest trend this year.
Lupita Nyong’o’s, Gabrielle Union and Michelle Yeoh took a different tack and went for a striking glitter look. Curious about our favorites? Watch!
