Kanye West (46) admits his mistakes. The rapper has caused a lot of negative headlines in recent years with several questionable actions. Among other things, he made anti-Semitic comments in public several times, most recently in an excerpt from his new song “Vultures.” So far, however, the “Flashing Lights” interpreter has not been aware of any guilt and has even defended his statements. But now shows Kanye suddenly regret!
In a long Instagram statement in Hebrew, the 46-year-old addressed the Jewish community. “I sincerely apologize to the Jewish community for any unintentional incident caused by my words or actions. It was not my intention to hurt or disrespect you, and I deeply regret any pain I may have caused,” writes Kanye. He wants to learn from his mistakes and deal with the topic more sensitively in the future. Finally, he emphasizes: “Your forgiveness is important to me and I am committed to making amends.”
Not everyone is happy with his apology. Some Jewish fans would have liked it better if he hadn’t shared his lyrics in Hebrew. “He uses Hebrew to apologize so his fans can’t read it. He can’t even write in English because he’s too embarrassed to apologize to us Jews,” says one angry fan.
