Kelly Clarkson (41) didn’t always have it easy. The singer became a star in 2002 thanks to her participation in American Idol. Worldwide hits such as “Stronger” and “Because of You” followed. The American even took home several Grammy Awards. She is now even successful with her own talk show. But her early days in LA were tough: Kelly had to live in her car.
She tells this in her show “The Kelly Clarkson Show” with their guest Kevin Bacon (65). She needed a roommate and I said, ‘I’ll do it,'” she recalls. But the living arrangement only lasted a short time because the apartment caught fire. “It burned down, yeah. Today has Kelly also turned their backs on Los Angeles again. After her divorce, she finds a new home in New York City. She never wanted to live in LA with her family anyway. “I didn’t want to live there from the start. It was just me and my kids there while the rest of my family lived on the East Coast,” she explained on the “Today Show.”
