The Queen is currently in Basel due to a visit to the International Standardization Organizations and Financial Sector Supervisors (SSBs) at the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) in Basel. She will speak with central bank governors and representatives of regulatory authorities about the state of financial inclusion and financial health. Queen Máxima is the United Nations Secretary General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development (UNSGSA).
