Franz Beckenbauer (✝78) will soon find his final resting place! It was announced on Monday evening that the former footballer had died. The sympathy of fans worldwide is huge – after all, the Munich native was a real legend of German football. But in contrast to his time on the world’s football pitches, his family wants a private setting for the funeral: Franz will soon be buried in the closest circle!
As Bild reports, will Franz probably buried in the coming days. It is not yet known where exactly his final resting place will be. However, the cemetery at Perlacher Forst in Munich would be possible – his son Stephan, who died at the age of 46, is also buried there. Only the emperor’s closest circle should be invited to the funeral.
The football legend was never able to cope with the loss of his son. “He was powerless in the face of his son dying, even though he did everything in the world to prevent it from happening.
