Princess Amalia would like to thank everyone for the congratulations on her birthday.
Last Thursday was an important day for Princess Amalia. The crown princess was allowed to blow out twenty candles. Although we were already surprised with brand new portrait photos of the princess on her birthday, the Royal House is sharing another beautiful photo of Amalia today.
Birthday
On December 7 there was a big party at Huis ten Bosch Palace in The Hague. Amalia celebrated her twentieth birthday and especially for that the Royal House shared some new photos of the Crown Princess. Or well… the snapshots weren’t really new either. These photos came from the photo session of December last year. Then Princess Beatrix, King Willem-Alexander and Princess Amalia were photographed together. Well, we don’t really often see the royal family posing for the camera, so a new portrait photo is quite rare.

That is also the photo below, because this photo was not taken by a special photographer. No, it looks like this is a very candid photo of the princess. “Many thanks for all the congratulations I received on the occasion of my 20th birthday. All the heartwarming messages made my day even more special,” the photo description says.

It is not stated where exactly the photo was taken, but followers speculate wildly in the comments. We all know that Greece is the royals’ favorite holiday destination. Could the snapshot have been taken at sea near a Greek island? That might just be possible.
And because the photo is black and white, we can’t tell much from her outfit. Is she wearing a kimono? An airy blouse? Who knows!
