The actress promises ‘more fun soon’!
At Glamial we love Patty Brard the way Brard himself loves leopard print, that’s for sure. We were very excited when we heard that there would be a series about her life. In Patty, actress Holly Mae Brood takes on the role of the showbiz veteran, and now that the filming is over, she shares some special snapshots.
Drama series about Patty
RTL announced at the end of September that a drama series about the life of Patty Brard is in the making. Director Will Koopman would make the series for Videoland and it was also announced who will take on the role of Patty. And those are two actresses! Holly Mae Brood and Eva van de Wijdeven play Patty in different stages of life.
Holly Mae previously said that she considered it an honor to be able to do that. “I think it is very special to be able to play Patty’s younger turbulent years. A star with so many performances and an enormous career that so many people don’t know about yet. A woman from so many depths, but always standing there again. As Will Koopman says, someone who is a forerunner in women’s emancipation. Trial and error, and you’re still there. Here’s to you Pat! 🍷 Next year on Videoland ✌🏼,” says Holly. Turbulent life
Patty Brard herself called it a dream come true in front of the RTL camera. According to her, it is about her “entire life” that is being portrayed. “Not pieces, but the entire cake. The old cake,” she said, laughing. Well, that’s quite something! Being part of a popular girl group, going financially bankrupt, breaking up – and bonding again – with your daughter… Your own series is appropriate. We can’t wait!
