The Greek monarchy may be no longer, but the Greek royals are alive and kicking. Princess Maria Olympia in particular regularly makes headlines as a model and socialite, and she was recently named ‘most desirable bachelorette’ by society magazine Tatler. Now, however, the princess is said to have landed a new guy, and maybe that’s a good thing!

For a long time it seemed that Maria Olympia had found her true Jacob in Peregrine Pearson, a British aristocrat whose heir would become the fifth Viscount of Cowdray. However, last summer it became clear that Perry and Olympia had ended their relationship. Since then, Perry has been regularly spotted at the side of actress Sophie Turner, and the Greek princess’s love life has also continued!

The eldest daughter of Crown Prince Pavlos and Crown Princess Marie-Chantal is said to have been spotted several times with chef Thomas Straker. According to tabloid newspaper The Sun, Thomas was seen with the princess at her home in Notting Hill, where he ‘removed his hat before giving her a big kiss’. Awww, what a gentleman!
…Or maybe not. For example, The Daily Mail reported that Thomas was married to his wife Davina, with whom he shares two children, who reportedly threw him out on the street when she discovered that her husband was having an affair with the Greek beauty.

It is not certain whether it is due to this alleged infidelity. But what we do know is that Olympia has not been seen with Mr. Straker recently. She seems to have forgotten him again, thanks to the ‘hunky Argentinian businessman’ Martin Pacanowski.
The two appeared together on the red carpet at the National Portrait Gallery this week, and journalist Richard Eden is said to have understood through his ‘sources’ that the two have known each other ‘for years’ and ‘get along very well’.
The Spanish magazine Hola writes that Martin is a wealthy businessman whose family owns a series of luxury hotels. He is also said to be good friends with none other than Princess Alexandra of Hannover, the daughter of Monegasque Princess Caroline, and has regularly attended events of the Greek royal family over the years. So the best man comes from a good family, and as far as we know, he doesn’t have a family that he leaves behind for a fling with the princess. An upgrade anyway, as far as we’re concerned!
