A few weeks ago she was finally buried – with a celebration that was a success! Her husband Alan Hamel (87) threw a happy cocktail party for the deceased. At her own funeral she also provided a surprise: Suzanne sang a love song for her husband.
As People reports, the 76-year-old wanted to make sure her beloved husband felt valued even after her death. In a recorded message sang Suzanne performed the classic “A Song for You” by Leon Russell at her own memorial service. She gave this to her great love Alan dedicated. The song has a special meaning for the 87-year-old: “Suzanne sang it to me every night on stage in Las Vegas. Every time she sang it, she cried SuzanneI cried and so did every single person in the audience.”
