Donny was born and raised in Amsterdam, and is a real proud Amsterdammer. Donny is very involved in sports and modeling.
He was in a relationship with influencer and actress Janice Blok for two years. They lived together in Amsterdam for a year until they broke up in October 2021.
Youth
Donny was born in the BovenIJ hospital in Amsterdam Noord as the youngest son of father and folk singer Dries Roelvink. He has an older sister Peggy and an older brother Dave, who is known as a model and DJ.
According to himself, he never really felt love from his parents during his childhood. The couple themselves were unhappy together and divorced. Due to their busy lives, Donny grew up with his grandmother.
Roelvink has completed multiple training courses. He started at VMBO Basis and studied to become a carpenter. After 1.5 years he was expelled from the training course, because he failed a subject several times. After this he completed retail level 2. He did not do much with this, because of his opportunities and television possibilities.
Furthermore, Donny converted to Islam in 2024. He became more religious after his accident in 2021, where he was almost run over.
Career
Before fame, Donny was a carpenter and had a part-time job in Coffeeshop Rusland. He can now be seen in many programs, such as Temptation Island VIPS, Expeditie Robinson, Special Forces VIPS, Dancing on Ice, and of course reality series De Roelvinkjes, where his fame all began. Because of his name recognition, he was offered acting jobs, including in the series Nieuwe Tijden and the film Misfit. He has now released several singles, including Auditie and Spijt Schat.
On Instagram he shares a lot about his sporting life. He is very concerned with his appearance, but admits to making mistakes too. For example, he protected his followers from his regrets after having veneers placed in 2021, where your teeth are partly ground away and then a shield of composite or porcelain is placed on the teeth.
