The double knit trend: this is how you wear it

The more knits, the better!

Knitted items old-fashioned? No! In fact, the more knits, the better. Meet the double knit trend.

Double knit

Sweaters with a high ‘knitted by your grandmother’ quality have been passé for some time now. Knitted items seem to be becoming more and more popular over the years. We see them more and more often in the street scene. Think of slinky knits, such as thin sweaters, thin knitted trousers or knitted dresses. And since last year, fashionistas have increasingly been combining different knitted items with each other: the double knit trend.

The great thing about this trend is that it is comfortable and fashionable. Model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and several influencers have been around for a while. The former goes for a 3-piece co-ord that looks chic and elegant. But you can also combine colorful knitted items.

Just the top

Do you think it’s a bit too much to combine knitted pants or skirt with a knitted top? Then you can also wear this trend by just combining a thin knitted sweater with a knitted cardigan. Easy does it!
