The wait is finally over! The Netflix hit Stranger Things has been captivating mystery fans to their screens since 2016. Accordingly, fans can hardly wait for the upcoming fifth and final season of the hit series. Recently, the start of filming was delayed due to the strikes, leaving viewers in the dark for a long time as to when the final episodes would flicker across the television screen. But now the show’s creators have big news to announce: filming for the final season has begun!
The streaming provider has now confirmed this with a snapshot on Instagram. Both the show’s cast and its creators are seated in the black and white photo Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer (39) in a circle and smile contentedly into the lens. The only splash of color in the photo is a red illuminated sign in the shape of a five. “It’s a Code Red! Production on ‘Stranger Things 5’ has officially begun!” reads the caption.
Although the start date of the final episodes has not yet been set, fans are already excited with anticipation. “Finally! I can hardly wait!” says one fan happily. “Finally! Welcome back, guys. I’m so excited for the fifth season,” cheers another. And a third user writes: “Yay! My favorite show is back!”
