Princess Margriet also recycles regularly – part 1

Like everyone else, Princess Margriet also wears her clothes several times. Moderator Petra dived into her closet and listed a number of recycling moments.

On the evening of April 30, 2013, Princess Margriet wore a floral evening dress, consisting of a loose skirt and top. It is a design by Addy van den Krommenacker.

In 2015 we saw Princess Margriet again with this dress, during a gala dinner of the International Chamber of Shipping in Rotterdam.

At the gala dinner for the Diplomatic Corps in 2018, Princess Margriet wore the skirt again. This time she combined the skirt with a black lace top.

She later also wore the dress during a version of the Peter Stuyvesant ball and during the return performance of Sweden’s state visit to the Netherlands in 2009.

On Budget Day 2006, Princess Margriet wore a pink-lilac skirt, combined with a pink jacket and a matching hat.

Almost a year later, the skirt came into focus again during the celebration of Prince Willem-Alexander’s 40th birthday. This time with a lilac top and lilac jacket. What a beauty, this skirt!

Margriet also had a skirt made from the same fabric to go with the jacket. She is also wearing a matching fascinator here. The lilac pumps from Prince’s Day are also back here.

On Prince’s Day 2007 we saw Princess Margriet wearing a black gala skirt, combined with a champagne-colored lace top.

Every year Pieter and Margriet travel to New York for the Peter Stuyvesant Ball. In 2014 we saw the return of the skirt (or is it a dress with spaghetti straps?). This time combined with a black lace top.

It was a day with a nasty ending, Queen’s Day 2009. But before the attack on the royal family, in which several people died, the royal family shone and beamed as usual. Princess Margriet wore an elegant red coat with a bow around the neckline.

As far as I know, Queen Beatrix (our then queen) never wore this outfit again. However, Princess Margriet does. We saw the cloak again at a quiet occasion, where there were no other spectators. Margriet wore the mantle at the reception of Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper in 2010.

Part 2 will be online soon. We show you even more recycling moments.
