‘I’m back!’
It has been a while since the rumor mills worked overtime after King Frederik was spotted with another woman. This ‘alleged mistress’ is said to be Mexican socialite Genoveva Casanova. However, she quickly denied these rumors and a long radio silence followed. Until this week.
End of radio silence
“Hello all! Here I am again!”, she starts her message with two smiling selfies with her dog. “I want to thank all the people who cared about me over the past year, those who understood my absence and my silence, and those who sent me messages of love and support. You have no idea how much that meant to me… Thank you so much! 🥰”, referring to the rumors and gossip that she had an affair with King Frederik.

Rumors
The rumors were circulating for a while last November: right while the Spanish royals were guests in Denmark, the Spanish magazine Lecturas published a series of special photos. This shows the Danish king enjoying a walk, a visit to a museum, and a flamenco performance in Madrid. Nothing crazy in itself, except that he was spotted side by side all day with the Mexican socialite, actress, and reality star Genoveva Casanova.
The photos (which you can view here) also show the two arriving separately at Genoveva’s apartment complex in the early evening. A few hours later they leave the building in a fresh set of clothes, go to a restaurant for a flamenco performance, and well after midnight the two return to the Mexican beauty’s home. The next day, Frederik was spotted solo with a suitcase on his way to the airport.
Radio silence
And although the photos themselves do not show anything wrong, it was strange to many that the then crown prince had spent a night with another lady. However, the Danish court never responded to the rumors, but Genoveva did.
She said in a statement that all rumors are completely unfounded. After this statement, however, she did not say anything to the outside world.
