He speaks plainly! The Netflix series The Crown has been delighting millions of audiences worldwide for six seasons: The show is about, among other things, the young life of Queen Elizabeth II (✝96) and the tragic car accident of Princess Diana (✝36). But now the series is coming to an end: the final episodes of the last season have recently been available on the streaming service. But what does Diana’s brother Charles Spencer (59) actually think of the successful series?
In an interview on BBC Radio 4, the 59-year-old reveals that he has never seen “The Crown” himself. This is mainly because, in his opinion, viewers forget that the series is fiction. “I think people realize more now than they did three or four years ago how speculative the plot of ‘The Crown‘ is. […] So I think there’s something to that, but yes, it’s tiring and it’s always been that way,” says Charles clear.
Two years ago he revealed to BBC Breakfast that he had received requests from “The Crown” production to film at his ancestral home Althorp House – Charles however, refused. “You applied. You wanted to shoot here. But I don’t actually do anything like that,” he said Charles.
