I suppose that did not work. Last Monday, The Biggest Loser returned with a new season. This time there are a few innovations in the big weight loss challenge. Camp boss Christine Theiss (43) is competing against her colleague Ramin Abtin (51) as a trainer for the first time. This also means a new time slot: instead of the evening before, “The Biggest Loser” is now shown in prime time. But right from the start the odds leave a lot to be desired.
As Oddsmeter reports, the number of viewers for “The Biggest Loser” fell to a decent low on Monday evening. In total, only 0.96 million viewers tuned in, resulting in a meager market share of 3.8 percent. Sat.1 certainly imagined it differently. When the format last ran in prime time in 2015, around one and a half million fans were sitting in front of their screens. Since, according to the portal, the station is currently generally weak in terms of ratings, it is ultimately only about one percent short of the overall average.
Despite the weakness, but above all Christine still convinced of the concept of the show. She told Glamial how much she loves the show. “This is my 15th season and if I had my way, there could be another 15 more. I love accompanying our candidates on their way to a new life,” enthused the former kickboxer.
