He has reason to be happy! Barack Obama (62) is a former President of the United States of America. And even after his time in the White House, the popular politician is extremely successful professionally: The father of two has already been awarded an Emmy four times. He wasn’t allowed to take the trophy home until 2022. Now Barack can look forward to his fifth Emmy Award!
The 62-year-old beat famous competitors such as Morgan Freemann (86) and Mahershala Ali (49) in the “Best Narrator” category and was allowed to accept the coveted trophy. The 44th President received an award for the four-part Netflix documentary “Working: What We Do All Day.” The series “explores the ways we find meaning in our work and how our experiences and struggles connect us on a human level,” according to Netflix.
Just recently, Barack had to cope with a serious loss: a long-time family friend of the Obamas drowned in a tragic accident. “We got to know him as a warm, funny and extremely friendly person who made all of our lives a little more beautiful,” said Barack and Michelle (59) in an official statement.
