The viewers of Married At First Sight are usually not positive about Malou and Sarath. Right from the start, they have little hope of a good outcome for this match. Although the two do put a smile on people’s faces for a moment when a misunderstanding arises about the aurora borealis – also known as the northern lights. No worries, it can happen!

Immediately after the first episode, viewers of Married At First Sight have no hope for Malou and Sarath. As far as they are concerned, the experts are completely wrong. They match well in terms of personality, but viewers are afraid in advance that Malou will not feel any attraction. Yet of course they tie the knot, after which a nice honeymoon follows. Unfortunately for Malou, he went to cold Lapland and not to a warm, sunny place.
Fortunately, they sell plenty of clothing and accessories at the airport. With a new, warm winter coat in her pocket, she is still completely ready for the honeymoon in Ruka Kuusama! And once there she even turns around a bit. “It’s nice, isn’t it?” she responds as soon as they walk through the doors of the Finnish airport. And the warm stay in the igloo also makes Malou melt a bit. However, both she and Sarath are confused for a moment when the receptionist talks about an Aurora Alert app.

Malou and Sarath manage to get by with their English, even though it comes out a bit poorly. Yet they apparently do not understand everything the receptionist says. When it comes to an Aurora Alert app, Sarath in particular doesn’t ring a bell. With this app they receive a notification when the aurora can be seen. Most people know it as the northern lights, including Malou and Sarath. “Which things… just a moment,” Malou responds, taking out her cell phone. Meanwhile, Sarath suggests that it is a forest fire or something similar. Um, what? Unfortunately, they will never receive notifications of the mysterious ‘thing’. The app appears not to be available on Malou’s phone. Shit!
The receptionist then tells them that today is a good day. The sky is clear, so there is a good chance that they will see the mysterious ‘thing’. As a result, a light suddenly turns on in Sarath’s brain. “Oh! You’ll get a notification if you can see reindeer or what?” he asks enthusiastically, to which the receptionist says: “No, for the northern lights. For the green…” Aha! Malou and Sarath understand immediately. But no worries, they certainly know what the Northern Lights are. A misunderstanding can happen, right? In any case, viewers on social media channel X were able to laugh at the couple:

No attraction
Unfortunately, we don’t know how long things will continue to go well between Malou and Sarath. Malou later confesses to the cameras that she has no attraction for Sarath. Ah oh… She certainly wants to investigate the connection with Sarath. But: “I just notice that I’m not attracted to him.” In the meantime, things feel good for Sarath. He feels comfortable with her. However, he honestly admits that he does suffer from separation anxiety.
At one point he talks candidly about his biological parents. Sometimes he wonders: why did they give him away? Although he doesn’t necessarily need the answer to this. He just has trouble with people walking away from his life. Hopefully they have good professionals ready at Married At First Sight… If the experiment does fail.
