Insider reveals: will Beatrice and Eugenie be working royals after all?

The two are increasingly in the royal spotlight!

With Princess Kate and King Charles in the fold, plenty of other Windsors now have to step up to support the Royal Family. In an interview, a royal insider reveals what shifting royal duties means for princesses Eugenie and Beatrice.

Support and support

We see them in the spotlight more and more often: Prince Andrew’s daughters recently attended a garden party with Peter Phillips and Zara Tindall, where they supported Prince William. The fact that Beatrice and Eugenie appeared at the Garden Party was not in itself a first. Over the years they have become regular guests at the parties. The ladies also occasionally accompanied Elizabeth II to royal duties such as the annual White Service. But in contrast to that period, they are now of course increasingly prominent in the public eye.

When the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced they wanted to start a life outside the monarchy, the Queen made it clear they had a choice to make. Either stay in or get out. A middle ground was not possible. This would also apply to Beatrice and Eugenie, right? What about now that princesses are increasingly in the spotlight?

Contribute

“The royals have a much closer bond than being cousins, sharing the unique experience and unusual lives they lead,” a royal insider shared with Hello! Magazine. “They are all part of this group, perhaps each in his or her own way, but they all believe in the royal family and its future. They are doing everything they can to contribute to this.”

Although they do not receive public funding for their work, the sisters appear to have received approval to step into the public spotlight this year. Beatrice gave her first live TV interview in early May. This interview, which according to Hello required approval from Buckingham Palace, shows that the royal family has no problems with a larger public role for the two sisters.

“They have always been subservient and dutiful. They probably inherited this from their grandmother. They have also shown that they can be trusted in the spotlight and I think that is appreciated,” Hello’s source said. “The royal family recognizes that they are very charming, quite dutiful young women who are very comfortable in public situations and good at their charity work.” And of course it should!

The best of both worlds

In addition to their royal appearances, both sisters have built their own lives as working mothers. Beatrice has a daughter, Sienna, and a stepson, Christopher, and is a vice president at a technology company. Eugenie also works as the director of an art gallery and is the mother of August and Ernest.

“The princesses also have lives outside the royal family. They have families, they have jobs. I’m not sure they want to fully join the fold and be complete working royals. At least at the moment they have the best of both worlds,” the insider revealed.

So while they may be appearing more and more at royal events, there are no concrete plans for the sisters to take on official roles. Where necessary, Euge and Bea will always be ready to support King Charles and Prince William. That’s why we can fortunately see them appear in the public spotlight often enough in the near future!
