9 easy hairstyles for non-morning people

Good morning! Or not? Maybe you’re reading this post at seven in the morning, with a large cup of coffee in your hand and sleepy, half-closed eyes. Not everyone is a morning person and not everyone has the willpower first thing in the morning to get out of bed ten to fifteen minutes earlier to spend time straightening their hair. You want to have a good-looking hairdo in an instant that will last all day. That’s why we’re sharing nine easy hairstyles with you that will help you stay in bed for five minutes longer tomorrow morning.

Half vast, half los

This updo is ideal if you don’t want to wear your hair in a simple bun or ponytail. You can also wear the ‘half up, half down’ look if your hair needs a little more than just dry shampoo. Take the top section of your hair (about a third) and secure it in a ponytail or bun. Then spray some hairspray in your hair to fix small, stubborn hairs.

Braided hair band

Are you fast at making braids? Then maybe you can try this hairstyle tomorrow morning. Take a strand of hair on the left or right side of your face and braid it back. This can be done in a normal braid, but if you can make a French braid or fishtail braid in a short time, we won’t stop you. Secure the braid at the back of your head with a bobby pin or a fun hair clip to make it a little more playful.

Big braid

It is also nice for this hairstyle if you have already mastered braiding. The only difference from the previous hairstyle is that you take two strands (on either side of your head) and bring them to the back of your head. Divide each strand into three strands and braid them a few centimeters above the ends. Secure this with an elastic band. If you think the braid looks too tight, you can pull it apart at a few points for more volume.

Double start

With this hairstyle you give your hair a casual, bohemian feel. Grab two strands of hair on either side of your face near your forehead. Bring this together at the back of your head into one strand and secure it with an elastic band. Now grab two strands of hair on either side of your face near your ears. Bring this together again at the back of your head into one strand and secure it over the first tail with an elastic band. You can leave it at that or continue this process until you have had all your hair.

Loose and wavy

With this hairstyle you don’t have to fight with your curling iron for an hour before you get curls. These curls are not only less time consuming, but also heatless! Dampen your hair with water in the evening before going to bed. Do you wash your hair in the evening? Then make sure that it is only twenty percent moist. Divide your hair into two or more sections – the more sections, the smaller the curl – and braid each section from root to tip. Secure your braids with an elastic band. When you wake up the next morning, all you have to do is take out the braids and run your fingers through your hair to loosen it. Fix your curls with a texture spray and you’re done!

Tail with scarf

The scarf is a big trend in hair accessories this season. How nice is it that you can spice up your updo in little time with a simple piece of nice-looking fabric? For example, you can wear the scarf in combination with a ponytail. Make a ponytail in your hair as you normally would. Roll up the scarf and wrap it around your tail once. Secure it at the top of your tail and let the scarf fall down your tail. You can also use this trick with a bun!

Scrunchies

Do you actually want to put a ponytail in your hair and run out the door, but you don’t do this because you find this look just a bit too boring? Then use a scrunchie. Just like scarves, scrunchies can be found everywhere in different colors these days. The chance that you will find a color that perfectly matches your hair color is therefore very high. You can also opt for a scrunchie with a pattern to add extra spice to the otherwise boring ponytail.

Low, messy bun

If you really can’t be bothered, the messy, low bun is the solution. With this updo the idea is that your hair does not look perfect, but rather messy and nonchalant. First spray some texture spray in your hair to make it stiffer. Then take all your hair and secure it in a bun at the bottom of your head. Let some strands fall along your face for the messy effect.

Texturizing spray

This is a great product to invest in for those mornings when you don’t really want to do anything with your hair, but when your locks still need an extra boost. Texture spray ensures that your hair has more structure and that it feels stiffer. This gives your hair more volume and makes it easier to style.
