Art, culture, creativity, and much more!
The weekend is approaching! And that means that Glamial will once again treat you to a list of the best hotspots, most glamorous events and best shopping tips.
Cozy crafteroon in Groningen
A unique business has recently opened in the far north: in Groningen you will now find Artsy Avenue, in their own words ‘where coffee and creativity come together’. In this attractive coffee shop you can enjoy your cappuccino (or other drink) while painting your own mug, vase, plate, or other ceramic item.

When you are completely finished painting, Artsy Avenue will ensure that your artwork is provided with a layer of glaze and goes into the oven. After a few days you can pick up your usable item again. This way you have a unique coffee mug for the office or the perfect decor piece for your living room.

Artsy Avenue, Oude Boteringestraat 1-1, Groningen
When:

Costume sales at National Opera & Ballet
While reuse of costumes is already taking place at the National Opera & Ballet, that is not the only thing that is important in sustainable costume production. The choice of materials is also an important thing. But while this is still quite a search, Robby Duiveman (director of the Costumes/Hair & Make-up department), Lars Willhausen (opera costume supervisor) and Esmeralda Plompen (costume manager) like to go a little greener. The trio is organizing a major costume sale for the fourth time! In addition to complete costumes, hats, fabrics and shoes will also be on sale.

The aim of the art fair is to make art accessible in an easily accessible manner, by presenting works of art in the presence of more than 120 artists. The National Art Days distinguish themselves from other art fairs by welcoming everyone and emphasizing that you do not have to be an expert to enjoy art.

Relax in Amsterdam
Whether you’re gifting yourself a weekend away in our capital, or need a dose of me time after a busy day of Christmas shopping: we got you. You can completely relax at the Intercontinental Amstel Hotel Spa.
Here you will find a lavish spa with the best view of the city. This lovely spa is located on the same level as the Amstel River, so you can enjoy a panoramic view. Would you also like some quality time? Then you now know exactly where to be!
Viewing tips
Even if you prefer to stay at home to enjoy a (self-painted!) cup of tea, there are plenty of fun series and films to watch. Naturally, the very last season of The Crown started on Netflix last week. But if you’ve already binged the first four episodes, there’s plenty more to enjoy on the streaming services.
The second season of Julia, about the legendary chef Julia Child, has now been released on HBO Max. The second season of the documentary André Hazes will be released this Saturday on Videoland.
In short: you can also enjoy yourself this weekend with a rug on the couch. Enjoy!
