This way you make your skin shine.
Dull skin can immediately look more radiant with a powder. But finding the right blush seems to be just as difficult as choosing the right foundation or concealer. That’s why we give you a helping hand!
Skin type
A wrong blush can ruin your entire makeup look. It’s a shame, because you often only apply the blush as one of the last steps in your routine. To prevent this, in addition to finding a color that suits your skin color, it is also important to see which one suits your skin type.
For drier skin, a cream blush works well. This also applies to skin with some fine lines. Not only does it feel less dry on the skin, but it also does not settle into the lines. Do you have more oily skin? Then we recommend a powder variant. The blush not only gives a nice color, but it also lasts a long time.
Light pink shade
If you have very fair skin, you often turn red more quickly than tan in the summer, and you usually have a pink, blue-red, cool undertone to the skin. A cool to neutral color blush is particularly suitable for this undertone. Many women therefore tend towards a baby pink color blush, but there are many more choices! Peach and coral colors also look great with cooler undertones. To avoid making your skin look dull, wearing colors that are too warm is not recommended.
Neutral shade
With a medium to neutral skin tone you do not have a clear olive, pink or pale yellow undertone. Do you have this skin tone? Then you are lucky! You can have almost anything with this undertone. Because there is so much choice for your skin tone, it is wise to invest in a nice palette. This way you can adjust your blush to the season and experiment with it every now and then. The choice is huge, even a brown blush would suit you.
Olive shade
With olive skin, your skin will soon look a bit greyish. This is due to the natural yellow undertone that everyone has in their skin in combination with the greenish tint that specifically belongs to olive skin. A blush can completely brighten up your skin! Choose a color that complements your skin, such as peach and orange tones. A pink blush can also sometimes work well with this skin.
Dark shade
If you have dark skin, it is best to look for blushes with a warm undertone, such as deep red. Other bold colors such as pink and coral also look fantastic on you. A bronzed shade also looks particularly good on your skin.
Ultimately, of course, the following applies: choose the blush that makes you happy. With these tips you should certainly succeed!
