War of the Roses: why Yvonne was so fierce towards Eline in The Bachelor

This past season of The Bachelor was as turbulent as a roller coaster ride in a storm. Yvonne, who had her eye on Paul, was like a lioness defending her prey when Eline made off with it. But just when Yvonne thought she was close to holding the trophy, she was suddenly knocked out of the game, and it hit like a meteorite!

The Bachelor Yvonne went completely crazy about Eline

What we all still have fresh in our memories is how Yvonne went completely out of her way towards Paul. And guess who? That’s right, Eline! During the reunion episode of The Bachelor, Monica Geuze investigated and wanted to know everything about this feud. “On the one hand, I think I was genuinely curious about whether we are in Temptation Island or what are we going to do here? It was quite strange at the beginning. I was really like: How exactly does this work?” Yvonne begins to say.

Yvonne felt hurt

Soon the monkey comes out of the bag. Yvonne honestly confessed that she felt hurt because Paul had kissed Eline, but not her. She even doubted whether there was any point in staying.

Shame

It was clear that the friendship between Yvonne and Eline had suffered a major dent after the kiss. Yvonne admitted that she is quite direct when she feels something, while Eline is calmer and processes things herself first. When Paul finally gave his last roses to Eline and Josephine in The Bachelor, Yvonne was completely ready. In retrospect, she is ashamed of her reaction, but she was extremely frustrated and did not see the rejection coming at all. Despite all the drama, it seems that Yvonne and Eline are now on speaking terms again. Although Eline did indicate that they should talk about it again…

Dating after The Bachelor

By the way, things didn’t work out between Paul and Eline. Paul had a nice time with Eline, but that turned out not to be a match made in heaven. Paul talks in Shownieuws about the struggles of dating while the program is on the air. “The first month was very nice and very cozy, but you are always at home. You cannot go out for dinner or do other crazy things, which you normally do when you start dating,” he says. “We did that for a few months up to and including the reunion, but in the last month we said to each other: ‘Where is this actually going?’ Because we were not in love with each other. We had a good time together, but there was no tension,” says Paul.
