“It’s nice to keep some things private.”
Eloise van Oranje has been together with her great love for more than two years. Yet the countess almost never talks about him in the media and has kept her ‘secret’ boyfriend out of the spotlight until now. In conversation with LINDA.meiden, Elo now opens up about her friend, who may soon no longer be so anonymous.

In the magazine, Eloise admits that she doesn’t talk about her boyfriend very often “because it can be read everywhere.” The daughter of Prince Constantijn and Princess Laurentien is working hard as a count influencer and is regularly invited to a red carpet. But we have never seen her partner there. “I never take him with me as a plus one on the red carpet or during other events,” Elo confirms. “That’s fine with me, it’s nice to keep some things private.”

And yet, after two years, that could easily change. “I recently jokingly said to him: ‘You have to come, haha.’ He responded enthusiastically, so things could change,” she says. Perhaps soon we will finally be able to catch a glimpse of Eloise and her boyfriend!
On to New York
The fact that Eloise wants to keep her friend anonymous may also have to do with the fact that she can no longer walk down the street without being recognized. And precisely for that reason, the countess will soon fly to New York for a six-month internship there. “I don’t want to make a big deal of it, but yes, I do have the feeling that there are a lot of eyes on me,” she says in the same interview with LINDA.meiden.
“On the street it is logical for people to tap each other. If someone stares longer, it makes me uncomfortable,” she explains. “Then I think: do you recognize me? I am constantly aware of that and I would like to get rid of that feeling.” And that’s why she’s leaving for the big apple this year. “I can not wait. Not that I see myself as someone important, more that no one knows me.”
