Things are going fast for him! Joost Klein has built a successful foothold as a YouTuber and musician. This year, the native Dutchman achieved his international breakthrough: he landed his first hit in Germany with the song “Friesenjung” – in collaboration with the Berlin rapper Ski Aggu (26) and the comedian Otto Waalkes (75). Now the blonde is celebrating his next success: Joost is taking part in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024!
This is now confirmed by the official ESC 2024 homepage. The 26-year-old was selected from more than 600 composers, lyricists and songwriters and will be competing for the Netherlands next year. “Participation in Eurovision Song Contest is a dream come true. “I watched it year after year, glued to the screen with my parents,” reveals Joost and proudly adds: “It is an honor to represent the Netherlands and I am determined to do my best for the best possible result.”
In contrast to the Netherlands, Germany has not yet chosen an act for the European music competition. Because: This will only be announced on February 16th at the big preliminary decision in Berlin, the “Eurovision Song Contest – The German Final 2024”.
