From Kate to Camilla and from Mabel to Maria Teresa!
Today is of course International Women’s Day. On this day we reflect on the struggle for equality that generations of women before us have waged, and we look ahead. The royals have also not missed this day – and thus they speak out en masse for the good cause.
Grand Duchess Maria Teresa
Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg has made herself heard from the Fondation du Grand-Duc et de la Grande-Duchesse. The Grand Ducal charity organization shares that they are ‘more committed than ever to supporting the most vulnerable women in Luxembourg’.

Maria Teresa has been committed to gender equality for decades, and it is no surprise that the Grande Duchesse is now speaking out. For example, the snapshot of the Grand Duchess reads: “Equality between men and women is a fundamental right. It is a fight for dignity and justice. I strongly believe that women hold the key to changing the world.”
Princess Eugenie
York Princess Eugenie is also making herself heard today through her charity project. For example, the Anti Slavery Collective shares some beautiful photos of the princess and co-founder Julia de Boinville.

“Happy International Women’s Day to our founders, the Anti Slavery Collective team and all the incredible women committed to the vital mission of ending modern-day slavery,” the images read.
In addition, the organization calls for solidarity and a united pursuit of justice. A nice endeavor, nun?
Queen Camilla
Queen Camilla also made herself heard today. She has been committed to women for years, and focuses in particular on combating violence against girls and women. For example, her first reception after she became queen was entirely dedicated to the annual UN campaign against gender-based violence.

“It takes an entire community – men and women – to dismantle the lies, words, and actions that perpetuate a culture in which sexual violence is seen as something normal and the victim should be ashamed of,” it said. read. She spoke these words in 2021 during a speech at the launch of Shameless, a project dedicated to the victims of violence against women.
William and Kate
The Waleses are also making themselves heard today, although they approach things slightly differently than the other Windsors. For example, Prince William and Princess Kate put various women in the spotlight in their Instagram Stories who “have inspired them over the past 12 months,” according to the explanation.
Here we see Emma Webb, who is committed to suicide prevention after losing her daughter, Wimbledon coach Sarah Goldson, who trains the ball boys and girls, Wendy Simm, who has set up a special food bank in Manchester, and actress Emilia Clarke with her mother, who were recently knighted for their efforts in the field of brain injury.
Princess Mabel
The Dutch team cannot be missed in this list either! Princess Mabel even flew all the way to the United States this week to speak out against child marriage. She has been committed to this for years with her organization Girls Not Brides: The Global Partnership to End Child Marriage.

Via her Instagram page she shares a set of photos from the Good Morning America studio, where she explains her mission to end child marriage in a short interview. “Let’s stand up together for a world where every girl has the freedom to create her own destiny,” she captioned the photos.
We couldn’t have said that better ourselves!
