Not everything went according to plan…
The Duke of Westminster tied the knot with his Duchess this weekend. Hugh Grosvenor and Olivia Henson were married on June 7 at Chester Cathedral in northern England.
The invitees
It promised to be a beautiful day. Among the 400 guests were several members of the Royal family. For example, we saw Prince William at the wedding, who served as master of ceremonies. He wore a nice suit with a blue tie.

Princess Eugenie was also present as a guest. She wore an olive green dress from the label JOSEPH with long sleeves and a pleated skirt, combined with a cream-colored pillbox hat from Emily London and matching cream-colored pumps from Aquazurra.

King Charles and Queen Camilla were not seen at the wedding, nor were Harry and Meghan. Although Prince William was present, Kate was not at his side. Yet the groom is a beloved man by the Royal family. He is even the godfather of both Prince George and Prince Archie.
The groom
Hugh Grosvenor was considered one of Britain’s most eligible bachelors until he got engaged to Olivia Henson in 2023. His estimated net worth of 12.8 billion made him the richest person in Britain under the age of 40.
But this weekend the time had come: Hugh is no longer one of Britain’s most eligible bachelors. The Duke and Duchess of Westminster tied the knot. Hugh wore a tailcoat with striped trousers, a white flower pinned to his left chest and a pink tie.

The bride
The bride arrived with her father, Rupert Henson. Olivia wore a beautiful ivory wedding dress by British bridal designer Emma Victoria Payne. The embroidery on the dress was done by hand and included the couple’s initials and their wedding date.

A tiara cannot be missed at a royal wedding. Olivia wore the Faberge Myrtle Leaf Tiara, which was made for the Grosvenor brides and has been with the Grosvenors since its creation in 1906. Her bridal bouquet also had a link with her in-laws. The flowers come from the garden of Eaton Hall, the family castle.

Demonstration
Unfortunately, the wedding did not go entirely according to plan. Demonstrators caused some commotion on Friday. When the bridal couple came out after the ceremony, orange smoke appeared from the audience, and it appeared that two activists from the Just Stop Oil action group were using fire extinguishers to spray powder paint into the air.
“Weddings are a time when we come together to celebrate and commit to the future. But for countless millions of people around the world, there is no future unless we come together to stop the use of oil and gas,” Just Stop Oil said in a statement.
Fortunately, despite the demonstration, it was still a dream wedding!
