According to son Louis, the chance is quite high…
Stéphanie of Monaco welcomed her first grandchild in April last year. Son Louis had daughter Victoire with his great love Marie, who is now nine months old. Hello! Magazine conducted an exclusive interview with the new parents, and guess what? A second grandchild for Stéph is certainly not out of the question…
Victoire
Princess Stéphanie’s only son, Louis Ducruet, married Marie Hoa Chevallier, a Frenchwoman of Vietnamese descent, in 2019. On April 4 last year they welcomed their first child, Victoire. To Hello! Magazine lets the couple know that their little family is doing well. “Victoire is such a sweet child, she makes us forget all the little annoyances. She sleeps well at night, so we can’t complain.”
Stéphanie as Grandma
The arrival of Victoire marked a major turning point in Stéphanie’s life: she became a grandmother for the first time. An emotional moment, says Louis. “She came to the maternity ward the day after Victoire’s birth, together with my father (Daniel Ducruet, ed.) and my paternal grandmother, as well as Marie’s mother. It was a magical moment that I will never forget.”
According to Louis, Stéphanie fulfills her new role as grandmother with verve. “She gives a lot of love to her grandchild,” he says. “My mother has a busy daily schedule, but when she can, she offers to babysit Victoire. When she was born, my mother often asked us, “Do you want to go to the movies?” I can take care of the baby.’”
Family expansion
It seems that Victoire’s arrival has opened a door to a larger family. “Victoire is such a cute child,” says Marie. “She’s made us want another one. Two children would be perfect for me.” Louis goes one step further: “We don’t want our children to have a big age difference. We’ll see what the future brings!”
Good news for Stéphanie: because well, if you are a grandmother after all, then why not of a whole herd, nun?
