Barbie movie: now available to stream on HBO Max
Probably every streaming service has been fighting over the successful Barbie live-action film. Last summer, many people saw the film on the silver screen, and the reviews were mainly positive. Of course, there are always some haters, who maybe just don’t like Barbie. But the film was a big hit. It is even the most visited film in the Netherlands, but probably also in many other countries. A streaming service with the Barbie film is guaranteed to gain more subscribers. And HBO Max is the lucky one: as of today, the Barbie movie can be streamed on HBO Max. Yes!
In the film we of course see the life of Barbie, played by Margot Robbie. At first her life is completely perfect and she enjoys every day, even though she always experiences the same thing. Then Barbie suddenly starts to change and thinks about death. Huh? It doesn’t stop there, because one day she also suffers from cellulite and flat feet. Oh no! To solve it, she travels to the real world. What seems? That’s where the child who plays with her lives, but that child is not happy. Aww. Of course she has adventures in the real world and discovers a lot of new things.
Record number of award nominations
The hit film Barbie was recently rewarded with a record number of award nominations. The film has been nominated in eighteen categories at the Critics Choice awards. The film thus breaks the record of the films Everything Everywhere All at Once and The Shape of Water, both of which were nominated fourteen times. The Barbie film has been nominated for best actress (Margot Robbie), supporting actor male (Ryan Gosling), supporting actress female (America Ferrera) and for their soundtracks Dance the Night by Dua Lipa, What Was I Made For? by Billie Eilish and I’m Just Ken.
The Critics Choice awards will be presented on January 14, 2024. In the meantime, you can watch the Barbie live-action film again or see it for the first time via the streaming service HBO Max. It’s going to be a very, merry pink Christmas!
