Copy paste!
We now know that the royal apple usually does not fall far from the tree. Yet we are sometimes surprised by the physical similarities between royals. This is also the case with Princess Laurentien, who looks exactly like daughter Eloise in an old photo.
Inner similarities
We know that Laurentien and Eloise have a strong bond. And that might be because they look extremely similar. Of course, mother and daughter are both unique, but the similarities are clearly visible: they are both enterprising, have the same unmistakable sense of fashion and are both committed (in their own way) to a better world.
Same looks
Lau and Elo are not only similar on the inside: they also have a lot in common in terms of appearance. We see this in the snapshots that have recently passed by, such as this one…
…but we know from experience that similarities between mother and daughter are often even more visible when we take an old photo of mothers. And so we – you guessed it – went into the archives.
In the National Archives we spotted this photo of Laurentien from the early 1990s…
…which she must have been about 24 years young. The dark blonde locks, the cheerful appearance and the radiant smile: isn’t this the epitome of Elo? Let’s compare:

Two hands on one stomach
We also secretly know that a parent and a child who are extremely similar are not always a good combination and can clash quite a bit. We find it extra nice to see that Lau and Elo can go through the same door. In fact, mother and daughter are very close. They spend a lot of time together, speak highly of each other in interviews, and recently opened their own clothing store My Lima Lima. A band to be jealous of!
