Small effort, big fun!
Finding a good bra is often quite a challenge. When you have finally found a perfect copy, you naturally want to keep it beautiful for as long as possible. We therefore share five tips that will help your bra last the longest.
1. Use laundry bags
Let’s state the obvious first: wash your bras in a laundry bag. Now you probably already do this faithfully, but we just wanted to say it. You can also wash your bra by hand, depending on how dirty it is. Don’t wash your bras too often, but also not too little. After wearing it three or four times, it is often time to wash your bustier. Do not wear your bra for too long in a row to maintain the elasticity of your brassiere.
2. Dry properly
Another thing that is disastrous for the shape of your bra is drying it in the dryer. Due to the high temperature of your dryer, it will not stay beautiful for long. In addition, the cups of your bra can deform in the dryer. Don’t just hang your bras by their straps either. Hanging them up can lose the stretch and elasticity from your straps. It is best to place your bras on a drying rack to let them dry.
3. Don’t fold your bra in half
If you have pre-formed cups, we sometimes fold our bra in half to easily store it in the closet. Plus, those cups fit together so nicely, right? It is better not to do this again, because the edges of your cups will then move forward. Eventually you will see the edges of your (t-shirt) bra through a tight shirt.
4. Store socks in your bra cups
Are you going on holiday and do you want to tactically put your bras in your suitcase or bag? Then keep a pair of rolled-up socks in each cup of your bra. This will prevent your bra cups from being crushed and deformed in your suitcase or bag. If you store your bras on top of each other in the closet, you can also put a pair of socks in the bottom bra to prevent the cups from denting.
5. Hang your bras on a clothes hanger with a trouser bar
If you have a small closet, you can save space by hanging your bras on a pant rail on your clothes hanger. You can store multiple bras on one hanger. You do this by storing your bra on the pant bar of your clothes hanger, with one cup hanging on each side of the pant bar.
