On her Instagram, Femke’s followers can ask her anything and of course it quickly turned to Rien. Someone asked what’s really going on between them. “Things are going very well between us,” said Femke enthusiastically. “We are a very good match on many fronts and keep coming across common ground. Of course it remains an unreal situation, it is not a normal way to get to know each other.” Femke also emphasizes how important communication is. “We discuss everything and that’s why things are going so well,” she continued. “We are currently happy together, we live day by day and do everything at our own pace. The official thing will come later.”
A difficult time for the lovebirds after The Bachelor
Rien previously told Shownieuws that the time before the reunion was not easy for the lovebirds. “You are not allowed to be seen together during that period,” he said. And that’s not all, because Rien lives in sunny Ibiza and Femke in exotic Bali. “Bali is of course completely full of Dutch people, and so is Ibiza!” And if that wasn’t enough, both Rien and Femke both have a cute dog. That made it even more difficult to see each other during the recordings, because you obviously don’t leave a sweet four-legged friend alone. Their first real meeting after The Bachelor was only during the reunion episode. “Then you see each other in a completely different setting, but it was very nice to see each other,” Rien said beamingly.
The future looks bright
Despite the challenges, it seems that Rien and Femke are allowing their love to blossom. They take the time to really get to know each other and enjoy every day together. And who knows, maybe that official label will come sooner than we think!
Paul and his fractures
Although Rien found real love during the Bachelor adventure, things went less smoothly for Paul. In the final he chose Josephine, but back home she turned out to have no feelings for him. This marked the end of their romance. However, Paul also had a click with Eline, who was open to discovering whether something could blossom between them. Despite a pleasant start, this relationship turned out not to be a match made in heaven. In Shownieuws, Paul shares the challenges of dating while The Bachelor is still on television. “The first month was very nice and cozy, but you’re always at home. You can’t go out to eat or do other fun things, which you normally do when you start dating,” he says. “We did that for a few months until the reunion, but in the last month we said to each other: ‘Where is this actually going?’ We were not in love with each other. We had a good time together, but there was no tension,” says Paul.
