You can make someone happy by adding positive things, but you also do this by removing negative things. If the person you’re shopping for a gift for has been saying they’re running into a problem for a while, now might be the time to help them. For example, think of a broken device that she used to use frequently. You can also give a gift through a favor. Do something for them that has been bothering them for a while or pay someone to do it for them. Or maybe you are a problem solver by helping them get rid of boredom. There are many ways to solve problems for someone. The most important thing is that you listen to them enough to find out what they need help with. Be practical with your gift
The way we buy gifts for others is sometimes a bit selfish. We think more about how our gift will appear to the other person than we really think about whether it will be of any use to them. When you buy a gift for someone, you naturally want them to see how well you know them. But there is one person who knows the gift recipient better than you do, and that is the recipient himself! If they indicate that there is something specific they want, listen to them and don’t try to come up with something super creative.

The way you present a gift also has a huge impact on how the gift is received. You make a gift extra special by the way you wrap it, the card you give with it, or even the story surrounding it! Make it an experience to receive a gift from you. This means the recipient will always have beautiful memories of your gift.
