These simple tips will help you sleep much better at night

Sweet dreams!

Do you ever wake up without feeling rested? Then you are not alone. We’ve all had nights like that, but that doesn’t mean we can’t do anything about it. With these tips you will sleep a lot better at night.

Tips

Many people have trouble falling asleep. A poor sleep rhythm, stress, hormones and unhealthy diet, these can all be reasons why you sleep poorly. Read below what you can do for a better night’s sleep.

1. Use essential oils in your bedroom
Calming scents, such as lavender, can help you fall asleep faster. You can buy oil in spray form to spray around the room and on your pillow.

2. Reduce your screen time
Screens (television, computer and/or smartphone) contain so-called blue light. That blue light ensures that your brain stays ‘on’ and you feel awake, even when you are actually tired. So try to turn off your phone two hours before you go to sleep and stop looking at a screen, so that you can fall asleep more peacefully.

3. Maintain a strict rhythm
Your body quickly gets used to new routines. If you go to sleep late, you will probably do so again the next day, and the day after that. And that of course does not benefit your night’s sleep. Therefore, try to go to bed earlier and read a book before going to sleep, for example, or do meditation or breathing exercises.

Sweet dreams!
