3X things we can learn from the sea

Do you ever stare at the sea? It can teach us a lot about life and how we can approach it. Here you can read what the sea can do for us.

1. The flow of the sea

The sea always goes with the flow, and so do the waves. The flow is determined by many things: upper currents, lower currents, the wind and the moon, for example. It’s the same with life: many things have already been determined for us: where we are born, that we need sleep and that we have to eat food, for example. Regardless of those core provisions, we are in control. One day you can decide to sleep in for a long time and have a quiet day with a book in bed, and the other day we prefer to opt for an active day with a lot of exercise. It’s important to know that some things are beyond your control, and that includes going with the flow. Don’t worry about it for too long and follow the flow!

2. Always do your own thing

Since the beginning of the earth, all waters have been doing their own thing. The water flows, breaks through, takes over land, and so on. And not because she has a plan for the earth, but simply because it is possible. We can learn from this: not doing something with an underlying plan, but just because you feel like it. This is how you make the best memories and create the greatest learning moments. The power of the sea also flows through us and we can do exactly what we want, when we want and how we want. As long as we don’t stop flowing.

3. Never stop

The waters have never even a little thought of rushing with streams. We as people may have decided this for the waters, by building a dike or allowing a part to dry up. But water will always want to move and never stops flowing. If we have found our passion and can maintain a good flow, we should absolutely not stop. Let us not be held back by stress and uncertainties, but rather let them motivate us. You’ll always regret something you never try, and if you quit early you’ll never find out what the end result was.
