A beautiful likeness.
The late Prince Philip has not been with us for some time now. Even though we have to miss his appearance, we are regularly reminded of him with photos of Prince Harry. The prince is becoming more and more like his grandfather.
From the old box
For the greatest similarity, we have to delve into the archives. And then we come across the beautiful cover of Paris Match. When we see this snapshot we have to blink twice. Only the year in which the photo was taken indicates that it must be Prince Philip: the photo dates from 1957, no less than 27 years before Prince Harry was born. On the cover of the magazine, Philip can be seen in a white uniform with a reddish beard that looks very familiar to many.
A few years ago, royal photographer Chris Jackson discovered the photo on the cover of the magazine and was amazed at the resemblance between the young Prince Philip and Prince Harry. The photographer shared the photo on his Instagram as a memorial after the death of Prince Philip, followed by a portrait of Prince Harry.

Philip and Harry
In the numerous comments under the post it is noted that Prince Harry looks exactly like his grandfather. “This puts an end to the rumors that Prince Charles is not Harry’s father,” it also said. And although white uniforms are of course not genetically determined, the external similarity is otherwise difficult to deny.

Above we see the two gentlemen together on the balcony during the Trooping the Color Ceremony at Buckingham Palace, London on June 14, 2014. Given Philip’s age, the resemblance here is less appealing. Yet it is a beautiful snapshot of a chat between the gentlemen, which we did not want to withhold from you.
