The two are now engaged and have expressed their feelings for each other in public several times. The “Heart Attack” interpreter previously kept her love life rather private. The singer revealed this in an interview with Howard Stern (70). Her relationship with a female celebrity inspired her to write the lyrics. So far, the musician has not revealed the identity of her former lover, and she has no plans to do so in the future. When asked if her ex knew that the hit was about her, she replied Demi: “No. I’m in a relationship now and that would be inappropriate. I missed the right moment. I should have told her then.”
But it wasn’t just her former partner who encouraged the singer to write new songs; Demis difficult past. “I went back into treatment and when I came out, I had all these unresolved traumas that I couldn’t process,” the 31-year-old explained.
