This is what our king and queen did on day two of their working visit.
King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima are currently on a working visit to the United States. During the four-day visit, the couple visited Savannah, where they visited the Port of Savannah and Savannah State University, among other attractions. Also a walk through the historic center of the city could not be missed, which makes for an all-too-sweet photo.
Working visit United States
The royal couple’s visit to the United States started on Monday, June 10 in Atlanta. Here the king and queen visited the governor of the state of Georgia, laid a wreath at the grave of Martin Luther King and visited a renowned hip-hop studio together with the Dutch rapper Frenna. The royal couple were allowed to turn a few buttons in the studio, and that resulted in very nice images!
Romantic walk
The royal couple also had a busy agenda on the second day of their working visit. Willem-Alexander and Máxima were received by the mayor of the city in the City Hall of the city of Savannah. Next up was a walk through the historic center of the city, which resulted in an all-too-sweet snapshot. Look at our royal couple shining, the love between the two is radiant!
Of course, Máxima is looking very stylish as always bee. She wore a white peplum top with a matching skirt, the brand of which is unfortunately unknown. We’ve seen the look before, as she previously wore it during a visit to Sicily in 2017.
Savannah State University
After the walk they visited Savannah State University. This is the oldest public HBCU university – Historical Black Colleges and Universities – in the state of Georgia. In addition to the students and black entrepreneurs talking to the king and queen about entrepreneurship and their international ambitions, there was also a lot of singing, dancing and music playing.

Busy schedule
The port of Savannah was also visited. The port is one of the fastest growing and fourth busiest container ports in the United States, and that offers economic opportunities for Dutch companies. The day ended with a networking meeting at the Telfair Academy. Over the next two days, the royal couple will visit the cities of Albany and New York City.
