“All my boys!”
According to fairy tales, princes and princesses always live happily ever after, but reality shows that this is not always the case. For example, after thirteen years of marriage, the relationship between Luxembourg’s Prince Louis and Tessy Antony came to an end. Yet the two still get along, as evidenced by a special photo that Tessy shared on Instagram yesterday.
Scandal
The whole crowd was amazed when the news suddenly arrived in March 2006 that Prince Louis had become a father. The best man was only 19 years old and, moreover, not married. What a scandal!
Yet things seemed to turn out all right after that: a madly in love Louis gave up his place in the line of succession for a beautiful marriage, and the couple had a second son. With a lot of love from the Grand Ducal family, the couple was happy, and for years their relationship seemed like a true fairytale.
Parting
Until 2016, because then the next scandal broke out: the couple wanted to divorce. In the media, Tessy was portrayed as a true gold digger who wanted to lay claim to Louis’ family fortune through the divorce, and Louis himself as a nitwit who had mainly followed his gender. After a lot of arguing about money, the divorce was finally finalized in 2019.
However, a brief look at the divorce case shows that the two still got along fine. Louis told the court: “We married young, and there is a lot of it [Tessy] expected in her role as princess. She took on that role gracefully and was a good representative for my family, for which I am grateful.”
Close family
A photo that Princess Tessy shared yesterday via social media also shows that the two indeed still get along well.

For example, she poses in a Christmas snapshot (we’re guessing it was taken a few weeks ago) with her blended family. In addition to Tessy and Louis, we also see Tessy’s current husband, Swiss businessman Frank Floessel, her sons with Louis, Gabriel and Noah, and her son with Frank, Theodor.
“All my boys,” Tessy writes with the cheerful photo. She also shares a beautiful quote: “There is no such thing as a ‘broken family’. Family is family, and is not defined by marriage certificates, divorce papers, or adoption papers.”
Aww! This proves that even after a royal divorce you can still build a good relationship. Some other royals can follow this example!
