Spencer Matthews’ (35) vice almost cost him his life. The TV star has been dating Vogue Williams (38) since 2018. The two are proud parents of three children together. Aside from his happy family life, the “Made in Chelsea” star is also successful as an entrepreneur: He is the founder of the CleanCo brand for non-alcoholic spirits. His misuse of alcohol would have Spencer once almost destroyed his life.
In the podcast “Boots presents Taboo Talk” he talks to his wife about his “excessive daily alcohol consumption” – at weddings Spencer drank a bottle of whiskey or ten beers a day. “It’s not that I wanted to give up drinking just like that. I could have lost you, I could have lost my job, I could have died,” he admits to Vogue. The 35-year-old’s alcohol abuse began because he was “bored and unambitious.”
Today has Spencer managed to break out of the vicious circle of daily drinking – with the help of his wife. “Now I’m sober most of the time. I no longer have daily problem drinking, but only drink very irregularly when I feel like it,” he emphasizes. The father of the family leads Vogues Page “a very balanced life”.
