Chemistry
Beate has had the feeling for a while that she doesn’t click with the gentlemen. Although Paul is her type on paper, the chemistry is missing. There is a bit more attraction with Rien, but on paper he is not her ideal match. “I don’t feel that chemistry with either of them. And with Rien I do feel a little more that attraction, but he is not my man on paper,” says Beate.
Rose ceremony in The Bachelor
At the end of the last The Bachelorepisode presents Rien during the rose ceremony a rose to Beate. “I’m not sure if it’s going to be anything romantic, but I think you’re too cute and too unique to let go,” says Rien as he gives her the rose. But when Beate steps forward, she has a surprise in store for him. “Thank you for your kind words, Rien. But I also have something to tell you.” Rien then puts the rose back in its place.
‘What an icon’
And then Beate surprises everyone with her cool revelation. “Dear men, I had a great time with you and I think it was a fantastic adventure that I was able to experience with you. But I also have to be honest. I have discovered that this is not the way for me to find true love Beate continues. The group of women behind her are stunned. “Oh my god, what an icon,” says Yvonne. “What a heroine,” the other women say.
Respect
Rien and Paul are happy that Beate is honest. “Nice of you to say so,” Rien responds. “It’s very good that you do it that way, respect,” shouts Paul. Beate thinks that the men will find their true self during the program. “I’m very confident,” she says as she walks away. “I’m going to miss her,” Rien explains when Beate is out of the picture.
Own path
With this bold move, Beate not only chose her own path, but she also helped the gentlemen in The Bachelor make their decision and gave the other ladies more of a chance. “It’s just the fairest thing to do. I think it’s a shame to waste men’s time when there are such amazing ladies to look at. I didn’t want to waste anyone’s time, including my own. Sometimes you just have to make decisions, no matter how difficult it is.”
