In Winter full of Love, Edith is currently joined by two potential love candidates: the fun Austria fan Bart (52) and the adventurous Mike (49). Edith had some fun hours in the snow and après-ski with Bart. Although she does find it difficult that he shows little initiative. Mike
Mike is a bon vivant and hard worker, which makes him a great match for Edith. She also loves life and also works very hard as a saleswoman of glamping chalets. Mike does appear to have a nasty character trait. He is somewhat arrogant. For example, Bart’s first impression of Mike is that they are both bald. He cannot say more about his competitor. Mike, on the other hand, immediately calls Bart “no competition” upon entering. “I think I have a lot more to offer,” he says in a confessional. Even though they don’t know each other yet. Later he also calls Bart a clown. “He’s showing off his fat paunch here,” he gossips for the camera. “He really does that consciously. Well, fine. I’ll just remain myself.” Although Bart also says to just be himself.
Edith is happy with Mike at first glance. He immediately asks her a lot of questions. That is of course slightly different than with Bart. She does realize that Bart really likes her. Something that clearly makes her happy.

So Edith gives both men a fair chance. Logical, because she is just looking for the perfect love candidate and does not know Mike yet. She also looks for the ‘rivalry’ between Bart and Mike. However, viewers of Winter full of Love would rather see Mike leave as quickly as possible. They are already done with him. Bold rivals
