Máxima says she is “always cold”. You will probably not be surprised that there are many cardigans in her walk-in closet.
Let’s go through a few options.
On King’s Day, Máxima wore an off-white cardigan with two sewn-on pockets over a green guipure lace midi dress.
In terms of white, she can also fall back on one without pockets and one with a shiny closure at the top. After three copies, we also have three ways to wear it: wear it loose, loosely draped over the shoulder and wear it with buttons closed.
A beige cardigan is easy to combine. It will probably not surprise you that Máxima has several. The one you see below has stones at the cuffs.
She also has a similar one without stones. The cardigan itself and the sleeves are slightly longer. As you can see in the photo on the right, the row of buttons ends quite high.
She also has a similar cardigan with two buttons in her closet. Because this garment was worn on the same trip as the cardigan above on the left, I think the double purchase has to do with possible stains.
Recently, a dark green fringe dress was combined with a liver-colored cardigan.
She also has the Natan cardigan that Máxima wore on King’s Day 2004 (see top photo in this blog) in orange.
The brown cardigan that appeared last week in Georgia debuted in 2005 (left).
For King’s Day 2017, Princess Alexia borrowed a rust brown Natan cardigan from her mother.

Nice idea: wear a belt in a bright countercolor over your cardigan.

When you say Máxima, you say bright red. There are several bright red cardigans in her closet. Both designs you see below are from Natan. She also has the design on the left in beige (with the row of buttons ending higher, you know), she wore the design on the right in white on King’s Day 2024.
Pink is also in stock. Both cardigans come from Natan.
Green is Máxima’s favorite color. There is also a green cardigan in her closet. Natan’s design is trimmed at the waist with sequins in all shapes and sizes.
Gray is easy to combine and is therefore ready to go with a cardigan in Máxima’s closet.
You can make sleeveless dresses a bit neater and warmer with a cardigan, as Máxima shows below with two different black cardigans. In the photo on the right you can also see that it used to be made much warmer (read: more orange).
This short cardigan tends towards a bolero.
And two more striking examples to conclude. First of all, a light brown cardigan in which the fabric of the dress is used for a tie closure in the center front.
