Yesterday, the moment that Princess Laurentien and her daughter Countess Eloise had been looking forward to for so long had finally arrived. Their store MyLimaLima opened its doors.
A princess who has a shop? Of course, that raises some questions. MyLimaLima is therefore no ordinary store. The store, which is located at Frederikstraat 16 in The Hague, only sells second-hand clothing and accessories. And according to the website, it only concerns high-quality items. The idea for such a store came from Princess Laurentien herself, and arose from her own full wardrobe. Daughter Eloise enjoyed participating, as did Thomas Latcham. Would you like to visit the store? They are open on Thursday and Friday afternoons and all day on Saturdays.
Hardies, the couture store where Laurentien likes to buy clothes for Prince’s Day or King’s Day, also participates in MyLimaLima. They are 1 of 4 external return points for MyLimaLima.
Is the store set up just because it’s a shame to throw away clothes? No! The proceeds from the sales are intended for charities. This is done through the MyLimaLima Foundation. From there the money goes to charities.
At the opening, Laurentien was dressed wonderfully retro. She wore an embroidered waistcoat on a white blouse and a bright pink skirt. The pink skirt matches the color of MyLimaLima perfectly.
Funny detail: the earrings that Laurentien wears can also be seen in the window on the left side of the store.
