William and Harry make an appearance at the same event

Will there be a reconciliation after all?

They may have bickered a lot behind palace doors, come to blows, and now have a particularly icy bond: Princes William and Harry remain united like brothers. Both Highnesses will appear at the same event tonight.

Chilled brothers

To say that the bond between Wills and Haz has cooled a bit would be the understatement of the century. The Prince of Wales and Duke of Sussex are reportedly unable to meet or see each other. In that sense, it’s a good thing that there is now an ocean and almost nine thousand kilometers between the two gentlemen!

Yet they both appear at the same event tonight. Despite everything, the brothers are not afraid to put their differences aside for the charity organization of their mother, the late Princess Diana.

Not very cohesive

By the way, you shouldn’t expect a warm reunion on stage. No: only William is there in person, and Harry only shows his royal nose via a video connection.

In fact, the evening is arranged in such a way that William is long on his way home – where he can pamper Kate after the bizarre week they have had – by the time Harry makes his appearance.

Diana Legacy Award Ceremony

The evening is also entirely dedicated to the Diana Awards, a charity that hands out prizes every year to young people who want to change the world. Every two years, the so-called Legacy Awards are presented to a selection of previous winners of such a coveted Diana Award.

Tonight, William will be the one to address attendees at the event and present the winners with their prizes. Prince Harry then takes over. He will reportedly talk to the award winners about their achievements and further plans.

Reconciliation?

At an earlier edition of the same event, in 2021, Harry had some words of praise for his brother. “William and I commemorate our mother’s sixtieth birthday. We each have the opportunity to create a more equal world. And the fantastic award winners we honor today are proof of that.”

Who knows: could William give a cautious nod to his brother and sister-in-law’s work tonight? Or perhaps Harry could give a little shout-out to the Waleses’ charity!

According to rumors, father Charles’ diagnosis could lead to a reconciliation. Who knows, this event may be an extra reminder for both brothers of the bond they share.
